Seated Dining Floor Plans & Set Up
•To formulate your ideal seating plan at VYC there are 2 main considerations:

1. The number of guests per table
• We use banquet table seating for our dining events. They are 1.2metres wide and can fit up to 2 guests at each head and tail.
• For a more open spacious set up tables of 8 (4 on each side) does not use the head or the tail. This is suitable for more formal events, however friends and family prefer closer proximity to each other.
•The largest banquet table can seat up to a maximum of 14 guests with 5 at each side, 2 heads and 2 tails.
2. Table proximity and the areas used for seated dining
• VYC is naturally divided into 3 areas by the centrally located bar - floor plan below
1. The main terrace which runs across the front of the venue with the 2 large window banks
2. The fireplace area to the right of the bar. This area is connected to the terrace and is the first area we extend dining into as guest numbers increase
3. The oar area to the left of the bar is the last area that we extend dining into. It can seat up to a maximum of 40 guests. Although the venue is one open space it does feel slightly disconnected from the terrace as the main entrance flows to the right and it is to the left. This area does not have a clear line of sight to the TV screens, so additional AV may be required to accommodate viewing in this area. The oar area is also zoned for the sound system, so music can be quieter in this area, which is popular among older guests.

As guest numbers increase you need to consider the balance of space at each table v’s the introduction of different areas. To help weigh up your ideal seating plan we have prepared 5 floor plans demonstrated at both a minimum and maximum seating capacity.

Our maximum capacity in the terrace and fireplace area is 82. Over this number of diners you need to decide if you want to extend into the oar area or if you would prefer to use the higher banquette seating in the terrace area.
